Overview

NidanEHR is an integrated electronic health record (EHR) and hospital management information system (HMIS) built for healthcare facilities. The platform integrates several open-source systems into a unified environment:

  • Clinical Records (EMR): OpenMRS 2.8.x handles patient registration, clinical encounters, and ordering.
  • Laboratory Information System (LIS): OpenELIS-Global 2 manages specimen workflows, diagnostic tests, and results.
  • Hospital Resource Planning (ERP): Odoo 19 CE manages billing, POS, inventory, and pharmacy operations.
  • Imaging (PACS): Orthanc stores and views DICOM medical images.

These core applications run in isolated containers, communicating via a private Docker network. A custom Kafka-based integration engine coordinates state synchronization and order workflows across system boundaries.
